[4K] Sea Life Aquarium London, join us for a complete walkthrough of this central London attraction as we come close up to Sharks, Penguins, Rays and much more including an Octopus Sea Life Centre London consists of zones: Atlantic Coasts Ray Lagoon Ocean Tunnel Open Oceans Shipwreck Coral Kingdom Seahorse Kingdom Rainforest Adventure Rockpool Explorer (temporarily closed) Polar Adventure Conservation Cove Shark Reef Encounter Ocean Invaders Sea Life London aquarium opened in March 1997 as the London Aquarium in the County Hall on the South Bank of the River Thames. the aquarium was purchased by Merlin Entertainments in April 2008 and closed for a £5 million refurbishment, which was completed in April 2009. During the refurbishment, new additions and features were added including a new underwater tunnel, a Shark Walk, a revamped Pacific Ocean tank and a complete rerouting of the exhibit. The attraction officially became a Sea Life Centre when it reopened in April 2009. In May 2011, the aquarium opened a new penguin exhibit, with 10 Gentoo penguins transferred from Edinburgh Zoo and in 2015, the aquarium was moved to a different location in County Hall due to the opening of Shrek's Adventure! London. Tickets for Sea Life are currently £27 for a standard ticket however you can purchase multi-attraction tickets if you plan to visit other Merlin Attractions close by such as Shrek's Adventure, London Eye, the London Dungeons or Madame Tussauds. Sea Life Aquarium London is included in the Merlin Annual Pass and is free to enter for all pass holders. Restrictions may apply to some dates depending on the type of pass. Pre-booking is required currently and a time slot needs to be selected. The attraction will usually take on average around an hour to an hour and a half.
