The display on our Oral B toothbrush stopped working one day for no apparent reason. I couldn't find an online guide to explain how to take it apart and didn't really want to break it - so with a bit of careful patience figure out how to disassemble it without damage. I couldn't easily see how to open this thing up so I thought I'd post a very rough video explaining how it's assembled so you can fix your own. It's the Oral-B electric toothbrush model type 3742. There's not much in here to go wrong so most of the time it's down to damp bathroom conditions that lead to moisture ingress an corrosion of contacts. Basically a strong flat blade down the edge and gently prising it up will separate the rear from the front. You may also try gently pushing from the from too, but not hard enough to break the LCD! Good luck! [edit] Some feedback from a viewer called tinywombat - "Be very, very careful with the ribbon that connects the display to the circuit board. The connection to the display is not very strong"
