Guest House | issue 1 In this issue of Guest House, we follow Shiloh on a mission to land a kickflip over a handrail. A trick that first ended in a hard slam and some hesitation. A few weeks later, with a little help from our friend Mike Bricke from The House of Vista Skate Shop, we went back. We talked with Mike, owner of The House of Vista, about the deeper threads running through skateboarding. He spoke about skating as a language of resilience, identity, and expression, something that shapes how you move through the world long after you’ve stepped off the board. It reminded us why these sessions matter. Why community matters. Why trying again and again matters. Alongside the skating, we dive into a project back home: building a custom bookshelf divider to split our shared kids' room. It’s a build, but also something more, a creative expression hiding in plain sight. A reminder that art isn’t always made with a canvas. Sometimes it’s with a camera, a trick, a build, or even just how you see a space. We believe that creativity lives in the in between, in your lens, your lines, your living room. And this video is about all of that.
