This is Part 2 in my Bear G62 recurve series. In the first video, I did a full review straight out of the box, brand new and untouched. In this one, I start doing what most of us eventually do to a good bow: tweak it, outfit it, and see what actually changes. In this episode I walk through the upgrades I added and whether they affected shootability, stability, noise, and overall performance. Upgrades in this video One Stringer limb decals with a diamondback snakeskin look Leather grip wrap for feel and control Great Northern Kickback strap on quiver FastFlight string in green and black Paracord puff silencers plus cat whiskers Then I shoot it and talk about what I noticed. The Bear G62 is a lightweight recurve, so adding a quiver and arrows gives it more mass weight. For me that translated into a more stable, easier to shoot bow. It does not magically become more accurate, but it does help me shoot it better. I also talk about the classic archery tradeoff of speed versus stability and forgiveness, and why I think the Bear G62 hits a really nice middle ground. On the chronograph I am seeing roughly 181 to 183 feet per second at my draw length, about 49 pounds, shooting just over 500 grain arrows, a bit over 10 grains per pound. Quick side note for the arrow nerds. Those solid black arrows are Easton 6.5 carbon arrows. I use acetone to remove the decals because I prefer a clean, no billboard look. Next up I am headed to West Texas to try to take a few does and maybe a hog, and we will see if the Bear G62 earns a Part 3 field test. If you enjoyed the video, please like and subscribe. I appreciate y'all watching. #BearG62 #BearArchery #TraditionalArchery #RecurveBow #Bowhunting #InstinctiveArchery #GreatNorthernQuiver #FastFlightString #EastonArrows #ArcherySetup
