Touring Small Town Ontario: Tobermory (October, 2021)

A quick drive around Tobermory, Ontario, Canada on a rainy October afternoon. Located at the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula, Tobermory is a 100 kilometre drive from Owen Sound and is nearly 300 KM from downtown Toronto. The area is part of Bruce County and the municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula. Originally settled on the timber industry, the area is now mostly fueled by tourism. One of the main features of the village is the southern terminus of the Chi-Cheemaun ferry that extends highway 6 from the peninsula to Manitoulin Island. The dock and loading area can be seen in the video. The town is also the northernmost section of the Bruce Trail that runs from here south to Niagara-on-the-Lake.
