In this video I'll be explaining what shifting is, more specificly shifting as a therian. I'll also go over what shifting isn't and what types of shifts there are. Including a deeper look on the terms 'contherian' and 'suntherian'. Know that shifting is in no way Needed to be a therian, some therians do not shift at all and are by this called 'non-shifting therians'. Shifting also doesn't define ones theriotype. One could perfectly behave like a cat, yet identify as a dog. Always be skeptical on shifts. Do not blame your shifts on your theriotype AKA "It's not my fault! Moon bit them!". You are the animal yourself, and are by this in full control about your actions and body. Sometimes a shift might give you the strong urge to bite or run away, I advice you to find methods and help to not do this as you might get in trouble for doing this. But know that at the end, you are responsible if you bit or ran away. Your theriotype isn't. Shifts aren't a competition of who can shift the most, best or heaviest. Embrace your little shifts and be cautious about your big shifts. But most of all, don't forget to have a bit fun too. Not every shift is bad! Not every shift is good either however.. Physically shifting isn't possibe. If you believe you're able to physicially shift or have been able to physically shift etc, plz seek help. This is called 'clinical lycanthropy' and a serious mental illness. Physical shiftng isn't possibly by laws of physics, DNA, how our body is structured etc etc. Our genes and body isn't able to change fast enough to change a limb within a span of hunderds of years. Or even if our body could change enough, we'd die of pain and blood loss even before we would have changed one single limb. Plz take this seriously, physically shifting isn't possible and is very dangerous to try out. Many kids (and adults) have died trying to physicially shift by drinking potions, battling a wolf or being bitten by their dog and the like.
