When we hopped the train to Carentan, we had no idea where the day would take us. As it happened, we mostly walked in the footsteps of the 101st Airborne Division. We explored Carentan and then walked along Purple Heart Lane to Dead Man's Corner. The history that we learned was amazing, but walking the same long road as these soldiers was truly something else.
