It’s so easy to document your memories in a journal or even a planner. Journals are easiest because you can make one or use any cute notebook you find at a stationery shop. There are whole systems like Heidi Swapp memory planner or Project Life by Becky Higgins that are dedicated to help you creatively document your life… but you don’t need that to start Memory Documenting... All you need is a notebook or journal and a few more bits to start! Memory Documenting is a bit like scrapbooking in that it’s a combination of pictures and other elements to create a layout. However, journaling can be on a smaller scale. Scrapbooks are usually 12x12 inches, but memory documenting doesn’t have to be restricted to that. Like mentioned earlier you can use a notebook you find at a stationery store or you can make your own. Besides photographs, here are some more things you might need or want to keep in mind as you start documenting and journaling your memories: Notebook or journal of any size Dig through your stash for stamps, dies, punches, stickers, or wash tape to use. Use travel brochures or maps as layout backgrounds. Or even train schedules and then add photos and die-cuts on top. Die cut train tickets or travel brochures with cute dies and incorporate those into your layouts Save business cards of restaurants or museums you visit and add them to your layout for added keepsakes. Add photographs in smaller sizes by importing them to a word processing doc and resize them before printing.
