Actor Salman Khan was booked under Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act for poaching two blackbucks in Bhawad village on 26-27 September 1998, and one blackbuck in Mathania on 28 September 1998, during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain. A complaint was filed by the members of the Bishnoi community against the actor. The Bishnois consider blackbucks sacred. Bishnois believe that blackbucks are the reincarnation of their spiritual leader, Bhagwan Jambeshwar, also known as Jambaji. Khan was also arrested the same year but was later granted bail. The other four accused - actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam, and Sonali Bendre - were acquitted in the case. In July 2016 Salman was acquitted by the Rajasthan High Court in the case. The High Court had said that there was no evidence against Khan. However, the Rajasthan government later filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the high court’s decision. Now for the first time Khan recently reacted to the Blackbuck poaching case and said that he will accept whatever the decision of the judges will be. During the recent episode of Aap Ki Adalat, Salman reportedly said, "I seriously don’t know what this is. Our judiciary is very capable. It will decide. Our judges will decide. Whatever the decision will be, we will accept it. Bring it on." Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman Khan was recently seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Next, Salman will soon be seen in Tiger 3. It is scheduled to hit the screens in November 2023. #SalmanKhan #BlackbuckCase ISH News broadcasts the Daily News and Entertainment online in Deaf-friendly accessible formats which are in Indian Sign Language (ISL), visual images with titles, voice-over and closed-captions.
