Posts are set and the continuous fence panels are here. We locate the continuous panels to prep for beginning welding. The LDS Missionaries willingly came by to assist with the hard work. Now we raise and weld the continuous panels to the posts. I am the epitome of a beginning welder so not everything goes to plan. This bison handling facility needs to be build yesterday so I have to call in some help so we can separate the bison calves. Here on Blackacre Ranch we are city folk who moved to the country to start ranching bison (i.e. buffalo). We are a family with 6 kids. Our goals are to homestead the property, grow healthy food, and build good character along the way. We are new to homesteading and don't know much about it, but we are willing to share our struggles and journey as we learn how to homestead together. Think of this as homesteading for beginners where we are the beginners. We are converting an old rundown church camp into a first generation ranch...profitable small farm that is.
