KC Travel Guide: Fun Things to Do in Kansas City Missouri!

When you're looking for late night hangouts, local Jazz districts, and award winning BBQ, it's time to visit Kansas City, MO. I followed locals around this crazy cool city to learn about Kansas City tourism and to find the best Kansas City BBQ they offer. Kansas City Restaurants: Kansas City BBQ- We went to Jack Stack Barbecue for it's brisket burnt ends and LC's BBQ had the best price for an unbeilable taste. My favorite seasoning came from Gates Bar-B-Q (sweet & mild). We ate family style plates at Zarda BBQ and Arthur Bryants and even finished off the trip with Pork and Pickle BBQ at KCI Airport. Drunken Fish- We switched it up and tried seafood downtown. Check out the sushi rolls at Drunken Fish. Pearl- I couldn't believe how incredible the seafood was at Pearl. The oysters are amazing and the fish tacos are incredible. They even bake homemade pies here, check them out! Kansas City Attractions: 18th & Vine- This is where all the Kansas City Jazz magic happens, they transformed this area into the Jazz district and it's also where the Negro League Baseball Museum sits (Free for military!). We also found some late night Jazz at the Green Lady Lounge downtown. World War I Museum- Kansas City has the only national WWI museum right near Union Station. Kansas City Sports- You can't visit Kansas City without a seeing the Chiefs or Royals game, and there's no excuses because the stadiums are literally right behind each other! Check out March Madness with conference tournaments and all other types of entertainment inside the Sprint Center. Blue Springs Lake- Believe or not, there's lakes in Kansas City! There's actually over 120,000 in Kansas, so find a boat and check them out! Power & Light District- This is the heartbeat of Kansas City tourism. All year around, you'll find all kinds of entertainment and fun in the center of the Power & Light District. You'll find all the late night bars and restaurants in this district, it's definitely where you want to be if you're looking for nightlife action. Doob- Have you ever wanted your own action figure?
