Today we explore the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur, an important site for Catholics in Paris, France. Located in Montmartre, the Basilica is rich in spiritual history and contains several French historical references. The Churchs desgin is Romano-Byzantine with neo-classical elements. Inside we can witness the stunning mosaic of The Triumph of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as well as several chapels, dedicated to Notre Dame of the Sea, Our Lady of Guadalupe, etc. As for the exterior, we can appreciate two statues dedicated to Joan of Arc and King Saint Louis Tradition tells us that the Basilica was built in a site with connections to Saint Denis and Ignatius of Loyola.
