The new schedule provides full service to Grand Central on the east side of Manhattan with connections to the Metro North and the 4, 5, 6, 7, and 42nd Street Shuttle trains. Atlantic Terminal branch is mainly a shuttle except for West Hempstead trains that are now running towards Atlantic Terminal along with a few rush hour trippers. The Far Rockaway Branch now alternates between Penn Station and Grand Central during peak hours, Grand Central during weekday off-peak hours, and Penn Station on the weekend.
