On this trip we explored the beautiful county of Baringo. Recently, the area has been riddled with conflict but Lake Bogoria is an alkaline lake located inside the rift valley. The lake also features hot springs. As a National reserve and not a national park, the reserve is governed by the county government of Baringo who in my opinion could do a better job marketing the reserve to Kenyans as long as they maintain safety in the region.
