This video demonstrates the technique of minimally invasive surgical removal of lung cancer performed by Prof. Dr. Semih Halezeroglu, chairman of the Thoracic Surgery Department at Istanbul Acıbadem University, The Faculty of Medicine. The single port VATS lobectomy that we perform through a three to five-cm single incision is a safe procedure with significant patient advantages. The duration of surgery is 60 to 90 minutes, the postoperative period is comfortable, the length of stay in the hospital is three or four days, the pain is less and returning to everyday life is short.
