Hello everyone! Today I am making red white and blue cookies, a great and very simple treat for the 4th of July! As always, there are subtitles available if you'd like to follow along with what's happening on screen. Recipe: 1/2 cup (113g/1 stick) salted butter, softened 1 cup (198g) sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 egg 1 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour 1/2 tbsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt Red and blue gel food coloring Directions: Whip together butter and sugar in a large bowl. Add egg and vanilla. Gently mix in flour, baking powder and salt. Divide dough into 3 bowls. Add about 5 drops of red to one and 5 drops of blue to another. Mix and add more coloring as needed. Form all three colors into balls, then mold them all together and roll out on parchment paper until is is about 7" long and 2 " wide. Wrap in parchment paper or plastic wrap and chill overnight. Slice into 1/4" thick rounds and place on a parchment paper or silicone mat lined baking sheet. Bake at 400F and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown on the edges. Let cool completely and enjoy! Thank you for watching! If you liked the video, please consider subscribing!
