Rousseau Overlook is a little known bit of public land down the river from Pierre, SD. I've always found this to be a good place to fly. River, road, and rail all come together in a visually pleasing manner and the area always seems to have good light. This was the first time in 2025 that the clouds actually came out to play! A storm nearly 150 miles away was gracing the northern sky! It was quite satisfying to film! Clever ears will note a musical quote of the Narnia theme in the bassoon line.
