Heaven is Open -- with Dawn Menken updated with subtitles (60th birthday celebration)

Dawn and I used to play music on the streets of Zurich, Switzerland in the 1980s. In January 2019 it was a joy to reunite at my 60th birthday celebration in Portland to sing one of the earliest songs that I wrote. "Heaven is Open" is about moments in our lives when there is struggle or difficulty, and the ability, at times, to let go and let the sea carry you. Recently I added subtitles so you can follow along. Since I was a child, I played guitar, piano, dulcimer and sang. But it was only when I turned 40 and lost the upper range of my voice, that I started to hear and write my own music. During this celebration I share some of my songs and am accompanied on some of them, by wonderful musical friends.
