Two Nights Camping in the Sierra Buttes | Overland Trip

On this trip we head into the Sierra Buttes for a two -night camping adventure the first night is spent camped below Upper Sardine Lake surrounded by alpine views and quiet mountain air. The plan for the next morning was simple: head toward an old fire lookout tower sitting just under 9,000 feet in elevation. Somewhere along the way, I took a wrong turn -- turning what should've been an easy trail into hours of slow progress, moving fallen trees, and driving through overgrown brush. After finally reaching the lookout, we continued on and set up camp for the second night high up on the Sierra Buttes mountains itself.
