Ah, a simpler time when everyone collected puppies and used them in almost every video. Heh, not like that happens now, right? Oh wait… For real though, I had this all ready to be uploaded and then I realized I forgot probably one of my favorite things: the “Bring KinzTube ‘08 back” movement. It was so surreal to live through and I felt cheated for not joining earlier to have experienced ‘08. There was a rebel against video editors, claiming people cared too much about how the video looked rather than having fun. All I remember was thinking “ehh, I like my videos with editing I’m not giving it up for this movement” and after 2011, it basically died. It was a strange time. Also the king and queen thing. Most people really did have the mindset that “it’s just a title, all you really need is a Webkinz you like and you can have it.“ Very few fought over it and by the time I joined, no one really cared anymore. It had blown over and there was a handful of people who kept the title. Fun fact: in ‘09 or ‘10 I was actually thinking of naming myself queen of the huskies, but then I saw there was another queen. She seemed nice, but I didn’t wanna get yelled at and frankly didn’t care enough about the title to fight over it, so I let it go. About 2 months later no one even used those titles anymore. Ah, making this video has really brought back memories. There was a lot of good times and so many people just had fun. There was the fair share of drama, don’t get me wrong, but it blew over rather quickly. It’s a shame KinzTube is so empty these days.
