Head to the system containing the pirate. 2. Head to and scan the nav beacon by targeting it and holding it in your reticule until the scan is finished. 3. Enter supercruise and head towards the designated/likely location of the pirate. 4. Reduce supercruise speed to minimum (x by default). 5. Open the full spectrum system (FSS) scanner (' by default). 6. Scan the whole system (middle mouse button by default). 7. Scan individual signals until the target is located if necessary. The mission target will be an orange signal source in the FSS. 8. Head towards the target and engage.
