Please note that this is referencing the modern Republic of Ireland. It gained its independence from the United Kingdom in 1919. This ended almost 750 years of direct interference by the English. There are seldom fences at cliffs. The mountains are slippery, and the bogs soggy. Prepare yourself accordingly when you visit. Be smart, don't take unnecessary risks, and take responsibility for your own travels.
