Is This the Most Scenic Drive in the World? Icefields Parkway MUST SEE Highlights 【4K】

The Icefields Parkway in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, was opened in 1941 for visitors to experience spectacular views of mountains, glaciers, turquoise lakes, waterfalls, rivers and wildlife. As cars became more affordable more people travelled to the mountains and the new paved modern parkway officially opened in 1961. A Canadian National Parks permit is required to travel on the Icefields Parkway. The road stretches for 230 km from Lake Louise in Banff National Park in the south to Jasper in the north. It took 600 men and 10 years of hard labor to build the highway starting in 1931. Before the road opened, horse outfitter Jack Brewster led annual “Trail of the Glaciers” packhorse trips between Banff and Jasper. The trips took three weeks one way. This should be on everyone's list of places to visit and I highly recommend this for your next adventure.
