Wild Horse Gentling in 60 DAYS!

We’re thrilled to share our very first Wild Horse Rez Challenge! 🐎💫 Our organization — together with Dawn Olivieri’s Moon Mountain Sanctuary and Leland Grass’ Diné for Wild Horses — hosted this incredible event on September 28th in Kayenta, Arizona. Eight dedicated competitors each received one to two wild horses to gentle over a 60-day (2-month) period, showcasing patience, skill, and heart. The Events: Foundational Test – Judging began with the basics: leading, stopping, tying, and picking up feet. Maneuver Test – Competitors demonstrated their horses’ progress under saddle, completing a series of commands in the arena. Obstacle Course – Gentlers and their horses tackled an inflatable tunnel, stood on a podium, dragged a log, and navigated through water bottles.
