The 6-part assembly produced by the Tsugami S206-II showcases the integration of advanced tooling and cutting techniques to enhance efficiency and quality. Utilizing Suhner quick change tooling allowing for seamless tool changes and improved production flow. Oscillation cutting is employed to effectively manage chip control, preventing chip buildup and reducing the risk of tool damage during the cutting process. A Y-axis turning tool is utilized to aid in chip evacuation, ensuring a cleaner work area and minimizing interference with the part being machined. A thread whirling unit set at a 0-degree inclination is used to create a helical design. Additionally, our newly designed square shank sub side turning block, developed in-house by IMG, provides increased rigidity and versatility for sub-spindle operations, enhancing overall machining accuracy and efficiency.
