Amina has been a health and human rights activist. She began her career at Lund Municipality, within home care. She moved on to pursue a career in Academia which culminated into a PhD. She worked for, and in, various health, integration and women’s migrant empowerment projects. Her research has contributed to a change in the way we perceive, design and dissemination of health and societal information for diverse communities. Today, as a senior advisor to the Ministry of Health in Somalia, she uses the principles of ”need-based” and community engagement approach. Amina has been a health and human rights activist.
