Schedules, ferry rates, blue boats, ocean breeze — this is real Grenadines island hopping. 🏝 Exploring Bequia by Car Once we arrive, we decide to drive around the island before heading to the beach. We discover: Cattle grazing freely 🐄 Hidden resort developments Ocean views around every bend Areas still recovering from Hurricane Beryl Sand-blocked waterways that should flow into the sea Bequia always feels peaceful, scenic, and full of surprises. 🏨 Hidden Gem: Hideaway Five Star Boutique Hotel While exploring, we stumble upon Hideaway Five Star Boutique Accommodation — and it completely blew us away. We meet Martin (originally from the UK, living in Bequia for 27 years) who gives us a full tour of the property. Highlights: Rooms starting at $250 USD (slow season) Ocean views from every single room 🌊 A 70% guest return rate A small shop selling items at cost (not hotel markup!) Hurricane-resistant concrete build Celebrity guests (confidential 👀) The PENTHOUSE featuring the biggest bed on Bequia (Custom bedding costs $1,000 per set 😳) The views? Some might even say better than Sandals. 🍌 Local Fruit Vendor Stop We stop by Ali’s fruit stand and grab: Fresh bananas (WAY sweeter than American bananas 🍌) Mangoes Pineapple Green bananas Tomatoes & veggies There’s nothing like fresh Caribbean produce straight from the source. 🍹 Jack’s Beach Bar – Beach + Rum Punch Next stop: Jack’s Beach Bar — one of our favorite spots in Bequia. Passion fruit mojitos Rum punch Conch fritters Crystal-clear blue water The famous dock we’ve jumped from before The vibes? Elite. The food? Good — though not the best we’ve had there. The experience? Still worth it every time. 💭 Reflections This was our third trip to Bequia, and we still discovered new places. That’s what makes Saint Vincent & the Grenadines special — you can keep coming back and always find something new, especially when you’re sharing it with new people. Island hopping. Luxury stays.
