Here is an interesting tool and self defense weapon. It is called "The Penatrator." It comes in titanium and carbon fiber with a beveled tip. Comes with a pen cap, to make it look like you are carrying a pen. This model is the carbon fiber one. This tool is meant for quick and discreet deflation of an air inflated tire. It is hollow and the front part is angled a beveled tip to pierce through the rubber or your attacker. Here I demonstrate a small air inflated tire being punctured by this tool, the penatrator. It does work to a point, at least on the first time but afterwards I keep on stabbing the tire and it is not easy to puncture it again. Works easier when inflated and the air escapes quickly and quietly through the hollow of the pen. The sad part, it cracked on the front angled beveled piercing point. You can see a hairline crack on the tip after my demonstration. This tool costs about $40.00 to $50.00 depending where you get it but to me this is not worth it and to see carbon fiber crack with this minimal test is pretty sad and says a lot about the quality of such a tool. I have not tested the titanium model and don't intend to. In my opinion this tool needs more weight and the price is over rated. It should cost more like $10.00 to $15.00 and I am being nice. It can be used for self defense but if it cracks under pressure on a tire, then what would happen on a human attacker wearing a jacket, I don't think it would penetrate.
