First Flight 2018 2.24.2018

This was my first flight in this airplane in almost 2 years. Lots of stuff happening in my life and just haven't been able to get out and fly. The airport was busy with Acrobatic flight and also a bunch of parachutes jumping out of a DC3. I forgot my radio and had to wait for about 2 hours for my son to bring it to me. Then I was able to join in the mix. It was crazy people taking off/landing upwind/downwind switching runways haphazardly. I stayed close to the airport (not in the pattern) but close. Then landed twice. Was thinking about going around the patch again but decided to go park and make a slight adjustment. When I parked the airplane I noticed that BOTH muffler brackets broke and the muffler rested on the left wing root fabric and burnt a large hole it in. Also through the bottom of the wing. This must have happened either when I landed the last time or after landing and taxi back. It could not have been this way long at all. THANK GOD I decided not to go around the patch again. I might have had a fire or worse the muffler go through the prop causing a very catastrophic event to occur. GOD is good ALL the time. I always pray before leaving the ground and GOD is always faithful!
