This is my new weekly video that will be a food experience, focused on the exploration of all the delicious restaurants and fun food stops along my Travel Man Dan adventures! I wanted to showcase the food I sample, and the excitement of new restaurants or the nostalgia that comes from eating at a classic local restaurant or a new hip inspired food truck. Basically anything that’s sounds tasty and scrumptious...I’m going to investigate and try to sample! Food is a joy to everyone and it was critical that I show off everything from the exotic culinary around the world to the basic simple down home good ass cooked meals to my community. Equally just as important as the food i eat, I started this weekly video to showcase the great establishments I visit and the cool people that make these awesome places come to life with vibrant flavorful meals, and the passionate people who make this a overall wonderful offering. So enjoy this video of me, Travel Man Dan as I show you my new episodes called FOOD FRIDAY!! This episode is showing the unbelievable experience I had at Fat Sal’s!! First I’d like to say how kind and welcoming the staff at Fat Sal’s was to me. Special thanks to Diana who was really amazing and who help explain the sandwiches and the Fat Sal’s Challenge to me. This Video was shot on location inside Fat Sal’s the Encino location- there are three locations in LA and they are listed below. This place is fantastic, from the minute you walk in the vibe is great and the food is excellent. The menu is basic but complex- each sandwich holds the moniker of being Fat, and they hold true to that name. Each sandwich is different but what makes them Fat Sal’s original creation is that they are all stuffed with french fries, chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks!! INSANE😋 But the fun doesn’t stop at just the sandwich! They have hoagies, burgers and if you wanna make your sandwich even fatter you can add on to make it extra Fat! In this episode I went for the Fat Buffalo and it was outstanding! The sub roll was perfect, it was filled with chicken fingers drenched in blue cheese, crispy fries, and deep fried breaded mozzarella sticks!! I also went with the combo, which is your choice of regular or seasoned fries, onion rings or my favorite......... tator tots! A couple of other notable things about Fat Sal’s is that they have a vegetarian menu consisting of falafel subs and veggie burgers. Although I didn’t try one they offer up some amazing milkshakes. And if you are feeling up to it you can try the Fat Sal’s challenge😲which is roughly 13-15lbs of meat on a sub roll and you have 40 minutes to finish! But if you can do it, you can create your own sandwich to go up on the menu!!! I would love to try to get the Fat Travel Man Dan up there-haha If you do succeed on the challenge please send me a msg I would love to try your creation.
