Brave Old World’s “Song of the Lodz Ghetto” (“Duz gezang fin geto Lodzh”) is based on the rare songs of protest, anguish and satire performed in the streets of Nazi-occupied Poland’s Lodz Ghetto between 1940 and 1944. But this program is far more than simply historical reproduction. "Song of the Lodz Ghetto” links the past and the present in a profound performative collage, rendered inimitably by one of the world’s most innovative Jewish music ensembles.
