Various of participants leaving the meeting STORYLINE: Republican Congresswoman Victoria Spartz of Indiana was booed as she held a town hall on Friday in Westfield, Indiana. The event drew such a large crowd that the room was filled 30 minutes before the start time. As with other town halls held by Republicans across the country, the meeting was marked by a few tense moments of back-and-forth between the Congresswoman and her constituents as well as boos from the crowd. There were several questions about government funding cuts, social Security, tariffs, immigration, and the elimination of the Department of Education. Congresswoman Spartz answered categorically no when asked if she would call for the firing of the senior White House officials involved in the Signal group chat in which a journalist was inadvertently included in the communication about the military operation. A participant asked Congresswoman Spartz if she would support cutting funding for PBS and NPR, to which she replied in the affirmative and that people should be able to choose the media they want to listen to. "The government should not be paying for and subsidizing media time," she added.
