Restoring a Trashed Mahogany Chest of Drawers || Relaxing NO-TALK Furniture Refinishing

This Malcolm dresser from FB Marketplace was structurally sound but the finish was just shot on pretty much every surface. Chipped, rippled, and torn veneers, deep scratches and gouges, and areas where the finish was just gone entirely. After repairing all the veneer, cleaning the hardware, removing the old crusty finish, I sanded the piece, stabilized the suuuuper dry veneer, and finished with a lacquer and toner treatment. This piece will definitely survive many more decades; let's hope it will be taken better care of!
