It’s officially cinnamon roll season! 🍁😋 And if you love them as much as we do, you need to try this irresistible apple cinnamon roll version 😍 Soft, sweet, and topped with the creamiest glaze. 🍎 Would you enjoy them for breakfast or dessert? 👇 👉 Ingredients For the dough: 550 g all-purpose flour (4 ½ cups) 2 eggs 80 g sugar (⅓ cup) 250 ml lukewarm milk (1 cup) 4 g dry yeast (or 12 g fresh yeast) 6 g salt (1 tsp) 80 g butter (⅓ cup + 1 tbsp) 👉 For the filling: 2 apples 150 g butter (⅔ cup) 140 g brown sugar (¾ cup) Ground cinnamon, to taste 1 lemon 👉 For the sauce: 150 g brown sugar (¾ cup) 360 ml water (1 ½ cups) 15 g all-purpose flour (1 tbsp) 15 g butter (1 tbsp) Ground cinnamon, to taste 👉 Method 1. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk with the sugar. 2. Start kneading by adding the flour, then gradually add the milk (with the dissolved sugar and yeast) and one egg at a time, allowing the dough to come together. 3. Once the dough is smooth, add the softened butter and salt (you can add some flavorings like orange zest or vanilla, if you like). 4. Shape it into a ball and let it rise until doubled in size, about 2-3 hours. 5. Roll the dough into a rectangular shape, spread the softened butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar, and place thinly sliced apples on top. 6. Roll it up and cut the cinnamon rolls with kitchen twine. 7. Arrange the rolls in a baking dish and let them rise for another 40 minutes. 8. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: in a small saucepan, combine butter and flour, mix, and then add sugar and cinnamon. Bring to a boil, whisking, and cook for 4 minutes until thickened. Pour into the baking dish. 9. Bake at 180°C (350°F) in a convection oven for about 20 minutes, until golden brown. 10. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
