NICHQ's Equity Exchange: S1 E1 (FULL) The State of DEI, Introducing the Equity Systems Continuum

The Equity Exchange is a new, equity-focused virtual event series from the National Institute for Children's Health Quality (NICHQ). Hosted by NICHQ’s Department of Health Equity and Innovation, this series provides a unique space to exchange innovative ideas, learn and discuss emerging theories, and share resources and tools on topics related to equity in maternal and child health. EPISODE 1 opens with a background about the "state of DEI" and introduces the Equity Systems Continuum, a framework developed by NICHQ and the Global Infant Safe Sleep Center. FIRST GUEST: Avery Margenot, MPH, Certified Doula, Equity Consultant with Global Infant Safe Sleep Center, and Manager of Sexual & Reproductive Health at Cityblock Health. Avery helped identify strategies for eliminating racism in health systems for a webinar NICHQ co-hosted with the GISS Center in 2020.
