How the Italian General Strike for Palestine Was Organized! Embargo Next? w/ GPI & GAP Livorno

For better audio, watch/listen to this version:    • Palestine Exposes Battle Between Fascism a...   There has been some really incredible organizing in Italy in the Palestine solidarity movement in recent months, including what has been described as a one-day general strike earlier this month in solidarity with the Global Sumud Flotilla. For this conversation we'll talk to members of Giovani Palestinesi D'Italia (GPI; roughly translates to Palestinian Youth Movement of Italy) and Gruppo Autonomo Portuali di Livorno (GAP Livorno; or 'Autonomous Port Workers' Group of Livorno'). We'll talk about the efforts that have gone into building strong connections between Italian workers are critical points of capitalist infrastructure and logistics and the Palestine solidarity movement in Italy to reach a point where they can shut the country down as they did on October 3rd. With the potential of that worker power, we'll talk about their efforts to organize an embargo in solidarity with Palestine and to isolate the genocidal apartheid state of known as "Israel."
