In this video, I compare the Friedman IRX built-in preamp to the Friedman BE100 Deluxe amp head. I run the IRX directly into the BE100 Deluxe’s power amp by connecting it to the amp’s return, allowing the IRX to bypass the amp’s own preamp. For this demo, I’m playing a Suhr Classic S guitar through a Marshall JCM800 1960A cabinet loaded with original Celestion G12T-75 speakers from 1984. I’m also using the Origin Effects Cali76 Stacked Edition compressor to enhance the tone and dynamics.
