It's time to harvest sweet potatoes! In this video, I will show you when and how the local villagers Harvest Sweet Potatoes from our hometown in remote areas. Our hometown is located in Guangxi Province, a subtropical region. Villagers usually plant sweet potatoes vines in August and harvest sweet potatoes in November. We only grow sweet potatoes once a year. In the past, we used Chinese cow to plow the field, and then harvest sweet potatoes. However, due to the large-scale contracting of many land in the village to grow bananas in recent years, many farmers no longer raise a cow for farming. Villagers usually go to work in the banana orchard. Then, planting is now moving towards mechanization nowadays. For example, plowing land and harvesting rice are already mechanized. A lot of work does not require manual labor anymore. However, when small-scale planting and harvesting, we still use traditional manual labor. #sweetpotatoharvesting #sweetpotatoharvest #sweetpotato #sweetpotatoes #sweetpotatos #localfarminginremoteChina #localagriculturalinruralChina #villagelifeinChina #whentoharvestsweetpotatoes #rurallifeinchina #ruralchina #ruralchinalife #ruralchinavillage STORY Hi everyong, I am Kiana. I have just returned to my hometown since November 9, 2020. My Grandpa passed away on September 24, and now Grandma lives alone. I really hope to spend more time with my Grandma. When I was only three years old, as one of left-behind children of rural China, I am raised by my grandparents. I have been living with my grandparents until I graduated from college in 2013. My hometown is located in Xintang Township, Gangnan District, Guigang city, Guangxi province, China. Here farmers grow vegetables, rice, corn, peanuts, and other tropical fruits such as bananas, citrus, oranges and grapefruits. We have a subtropical climate, so we plant it twice a year. Guangxi, with full name Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is situated in China's southern frontier area, facing Beibuwan Gulf in the south (The total length of the coast line is about 1,500 kilometres.) and bordering Viet Nam on the southwest. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ❀Hope you enjoy my best village life❀ Can’t thank you enough for being here and checking out my channel!
