Giovanni Di Folco, President & Senior Partner of Techno Engineering & Associates Group, speaking about the importance of the Dispute resolution mechanisms for Public Private Partnership (PPP), highlighting from his professional experience the advantages and limitations with PPPs projects. PPPs are an increasingly popular form of procurement for infrastructure and major development projects, and are at various stages of development in many countries. The benefits of PPPs are that they deliver, for the public sector, projects which they would not be able to afford otherwise. Public-Private Partnerships utilize both the public and the private sector to provide goods and services conventionally supplied by the public sector, while easing the tight budget constraints on public spending. Despite PPPs have the potential to achieve faster policy implementation and ensure good maintenance standards, projects in the EU were not always effectively managed and did not provide adequate value for money. Potential benefits of PPPs were often not achieved, as they suffered delays, cost increases and were under-used, and resulted ineffective spending. -- LINKS -- ►Website: https://www.technoeng.com/ ►Facebook: / techno.engineering.and.associates.group ►LinkedIn: / techno-engineering-&-associates #PublicPrivatePartnership #ContractManagement #FIDIC
