What is God's love language? In this sermon, the final message in the series titled 'LEGIT', Pastor Josh focuses on how to show love—specifically to the Father. Love languages are the ways in which we feel and receive love from others, and how we show love to others. Spouses can benefit from understanding how their significant other really recognizes love. For example. if someone's love language is gifts, giving them a hug might not feel very intentional to them. By comparison, giving them a thoughtful present that fulfills a lack they've mentioned in passing would make them feel understood, focused on—loved! So, what is God's love language? How do we show Him that we love Him? In 1 John, Pastor Josh finds an answer: obedience to God's commands. If we only say we love God, but don't act like it, we're not truly showing love for the Father. Jesus' life is an example of living a life that shows the love of God. Focus on how God's Word teaches us to live, and give more attention to the Father so that He can show you how to love Him. His love is never-ending, overflowing for you—even when you aren't loving Him. Turn to the Father and live in love, starting today.
