Do 2 stroke motorcycles make good street bikes? This is a question I get asked A LOT. Enough so that I figured it warranted it's own little quick video. So Triumph Chick and I take a quick blast down the street on the KTM 300 xcw... and the answer? Yes this is a street legal 2 stroke dirt bike... but it absolutely is terrible on the street. For convenience sake it's very nice to have a plate on it, but just cause it has a plate doesn't mean it belongs on the street. I feel like a lot of people who ask about the ktm being street legal are really envisioning this bike to be capable of something its not. It's an absolutely amazing dirt bike, but if you're going to be doing anything more than maybe a mile or two just for funsies this is not the motorcycle you're looking for.
