A detailed review of the new Calftone '56 drums heads from Evans and D’addario. John goes through the entire tuning range of these fantastic heads to show you how versatile they are. Our take away is that the snare head perhaps lacks a little durability due to its thin base material but for guys with a lighter touch, and brush playing, it has amazing tone. The tom heads have a huge tuning range and particularly shine in the extreme upper and lower ranges. The bass heads are, in John's opinion, the shining star of the line. "Best bass head combo I've come across yet hands down!"
