Mombasa businessman killed in Tudor

A businessman in Mombasa was last night shot dead by unknown people outside his house in Tudor area Police sources identified the man as Chege Gitau who is a trader at the Port of Mombasa. During the 9.30 pm incident, at least eight bullets were sprayed at his car as he was getting to the gate of his home. witnesses say the assailants trailed the victim in a white car, and then a man got out of the car holding a paper which was carrying the gun which he used to shoot Gitau who was driving the vehicle. Mombasa Urban OCPD Lucas Ogara says an unidentified man was also caught up in the crossfire and hit by a stray bullet injuring him. Ogara says they have launched a manhunt for the car and the assailants. The motive of the killing is still unkown. Local leaders said the incident is isolated, and should not be taken to mean the area is insecure
