Check out this doozy of a thermal paste replacement. These MacBooks are notorious for getting extremely hot and often throttle down due to high temperatures. During my initial testing, prior to replacing the thermal paste, temperatures would reach a max of 100° and average around the mid-to-high 90s. Now it has much better idle temps and maxes out on the lower 90s. I've noticed much better performance and consistency after performing this replacement. I have previously worked on this device in the past and rescued it from liquid damage. There were issues with the SMC chip having corrosion so that needed to be replaced.
