Timur (Tamerlane), one of the most controversial figures in Muslim history. A conqueror who called himself the “Sword of Islam”… yet left behind mountains of skulls, burned cities and a shattered Islamic world stretching from Isfahan to Delhi, Baghdad to Damascus and finally Anatolia. Set in the mid-14th century, we begin in a Central Asia that had become a “graveyard” after the Mongol Empire fractured and the Black Death deepened the collapse. Out of that power vacuum rose a storm: Timur, a wounded man with a limp, an unstoppable ambition and a terrifying ability to combine strategy with psychological warfare. In this documentary-style story, we uncover: Sack of Isfahan (1387): a revolt, brutal revenge and the infamous skull towers. Tokhtamysh-Timur Wars (1391 & 1395): the destruction of the Golden Horde, and how it reshaped the future of Russia. The Sack of Delhi (1398): “jihad” as a justification, but wealth as the real prize. The Sack of Damascus (1401): Ibn Khaldun’s meeting with Timur — knowledge vs the sword. The Sack of Baghdad: conquest, quotas of severed heads and skull towers. The Battle of Angora or Ankara (1402): Bayezid Yıldırım’s defeat and Europe’s relief, and the Curse of Timur (1941): Stalin’s order to open Timur’s tomb and the chilling warning inside.
