End of prayers STORYLINE: Millions of people across Libya massed for Friday prayers for the first time since the killing of former leader Moammar Gadhafi. In Tripoli, some struggled to express the feeling of living in a fully liberated country. "From the children the young people, the old men, old women we cannot express our feeling. We are, I don't think there is something better than this happiness so far for the Libyan people for the last 42 years," said Jalal Abu Khalal after Friday prayers. Protests followed the prayers with many calling for the removal of Syrian leader Bashar Assad who has conducted a brutal crackdown on his people in recent months. "It's your turn next, Bashar," they chanted, while waving the new Libyan flag and giving victory salutes. In Misrata, which saw some of the fiercest fighting between Gadhafi's forces and rebels, many of those at Friday prayers were already looking forward to the next chapter in Libya's history. "We are truly happy the Libyan dream has been made thanks to God and the fighters and now the Libyan people are united after we got the tyrant and in God willing we are united to build new Libya," said Misrata resident Mohamed Ahmed.
