From a tricky end-of-day climb at “Rocky Ridge” to frozen popsicles handed out beside a rattlesnake, this stretch of Pennsylvania was full of surprises! We crossed the original halfway point of the Appalachian Trail, enjoyed fireflies by a creek, met amazing trail angels, and even discovered a new hiker stop-in-progress that promises showers, laundry, and maybe—just maybe—ice cream.
