Dstv B6 Remote: How to program the TV & AV buttons

By default when you press the TV power button and AV button on the remote usually nothing happens. They need to be programmed so as they can be used on any model of TV & AV receiver. They can be used for anything you want. The volume up, down keys & mute button can also be programmed as below. 1. Press the ARC button and TV POWER button until the STANDBY button blinks RED for a few seconds then continously RED 2. Then press the VOLUME UP button and the RED led on the STANDBY button will go to ORANGE. 3. Place the remotes as in the video above and press the VOLUME UP on your TV remote to program it. 4. Once done press the VOLUME DOWN on dstv remote and repeat step 3 to program it. 5. To exit watch video above 6. To toggle between using the dstv remote VOLUME buttons to control dstv decorder and TV volume Press ARC and VOLUME UP for 6 sec or until the STANDBY led blinks RED 2 times for the programed mode. Press ARC and VOLUME DOWN for 6 sec or until the STANDBY led blinks RED 4 times for Default mode. 7. Programming the MUTE button. Follow STEP 1.
