We hired a beautiful-sounding abandoned warehouse in leafy Buckinghamshire (the HQ of Focusrite) and invited Solomon Grey and their string quartet to perform 'Epitaph'. We tracked the strings, vocals, keys and Ableton Live triggered software samples only using the Clarett 4Pre, with an additional headphone amp to supply more foldback channels to the string section.
