In this little video I show you my budget Quark A027 AIS unit and two VHF antennas I picked up for my Sailboat from Ebay, including all components required for under £80 (excluding Navionics and Ipad, which cost me an additional £100 and are part of my Navigation system). Included also is a demonstration of the wi-fi connection between the AIS unit and the Ipad. Part 52 of Renovating Tinkerbell - which is now called Sara of North Wales, a Macwester Rowan 22. In this video I also discuss battery charging and the new Macwester 26 which is currently in Ardfern, Loch Craignish, Scotland. I will be bringing her down to work on at Port Penrhyn, Bangor, soon.
